Thor rushed down the long corridor, peering into the branching halls for any sign of what he searched for. His mind still swirling that he had turned his back for such a small time and the Avengers had given his dearest Brother to S.H.I.E.L.D. He breathed heavy, wide eyes as more identical halls swished past him.
He skidded to a halt as he passed one dotted with a few armed guards. Taking a few uncertain steps towards them, he opened his mouth to call out a demand for information, when the door behind the guards opened. More guards poored out followed by the grim figure of Nick Furry pulling on his gloves.
Thor's chest tightened, he knew this was it. He ran towards the door only to be held back by the guards. He grabbed the shoulder of one, lifting him off the ground "You will let me pass," he growled, "Or I shall let myself through." Thor tossed the man to the side and pushed forward. The guards pushed back, taking swings and being scent backwards moments later.
Finally the guards drew guns on him, "Men." The guards took a small glace at their Captain who slowly shook his head, before they lowered their weapons.
Thor didn't look at Furry, only shoved the last of them to the side and forced the large, black, door open. He rushed into the small, dim room only to stop past the door frame in shock. A slim, pale figure sat slumped in a chair, head hanging limply. Ivory flesh ruined with tones of black, dark blue, purple, and sickening yellow. All of this smeared with the glinting brightens of crimson and the darkness of grim and drying blood.
Thor let out something between a moan and sigh, his brother was here, but what had become of him? The head stirred and shakily lifted up, light eyes starring deep into his dark ones. "Thth..oorr," His voice cracked. As Loki tried to stand his knees shook and suddenly gave out, but Thor was there instantly, catching him and pulling him close. As large, warm arms surrounded him, Loki let out a gently sigh, head rolling against Thor's chest.
Thor closed his eyes and took in a deep breath to calm his nerves. He opened his eyes and they scanned Loki's delicate, beaten flesh. What had they expected to come of this? Did they only want pain for him?
Thor became angrier, "I am deeply sorry brother. I should have come sooner I should have."
"Sshh..It is okay," Loki whispered against the soft fabric of his sweater.
"You came, that is what matters." Loki lifted his head slowly and Thor's heart shattered. The bright, playful eyes he loved where dull and red. One was darkening and swollen around the edge, a small cut running along the cheek below it. Thor gently reached up and dabbed the blood with his sleeve then Loki's head rolled onto his shoulder now.
Thor rested his chin on the other's thin shoulder and saw the dull glinting of chains. Little bits of darkening globs where caught up between links and around the base, and tiny red dots drying in soft palms. Thor cautiously rested a hand in the palm, covering the red dots. Loki's fingers twitched and slowly, stiffly, wrapped around Thor's larger fingers.
Loki raised his head again as he felt warm drops on his neck. Tears streamed down Thor's face and his shoulders shook. "I..I am sorry I-I..didn't
"Sshh do not be
it is alri- -ght."
Thor slowly shook his head "I cannot stand to see you this way."
"Nor I, you. Stop your blubbering."
Thor smiled faintly and wiped the last of the blood from Loki's cheek with his other hand. Then he gently leaned in and very gently took his lips, as they were swollen and cut where the raven haired man must have been biting down so long. It tasted like metal and salt and Thor wished so much to take it all away from his beloved brother.
Loki melted into the kiss, for the tiniest moment, forgetting the pain and simply breathing in Thor's musty warmth. When Thor gently pulled away Loki nuzzled into his neck, relishing the soft hair against his face. Thor pulled him up into his lap, holding him against his chest. He slowly stroked his now dull hair and whispered words of nothingness to him till he finally slept.
